Surrogacy

Surrogacy is a process where a surrogate mother and intended parents mutually agree on a process where the surrogate mother would carry, nurture and deliver for them. The need for surrogacy arises due to repeated pregnancy losses, absence or abnormality of the uterus or multiple IVF implantation failures. There are two types of surrogacy - Gestational surrogacy and traditional surrogacy. Both are safe and effective as traditional pregnancy. In gestational surrogacy the embryo is implanted in the surrogate mother through in vitro fertilization technique. Whereas in traditional surrogacy the surrogate mother is impregnated by a process called intrauterine insemination.

Surrogacy is a wonderful option for those parents who intend to have a biological child. There are many specialized surrogacy agencies that provide assistance for intended parents. S10 Health’s SafeCare standard GBR Clinic renders these services under strict adherence to the draft guidelines defined in The Assisted Reproductive Technologies (Regulation) Bill - 2010 issued by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi.
