Food is Fuel Not Therapy

Emotional Eating?

We heard you 👂 and here’s what you can do for it ⬇️

🍦🍨Some people cope with difficult and stressful situations by reaching out for comfort food. Chowing down on ice cream , cakes or macaroni and cheese can make everything seem like it's going to be really okay. This is called emotional eating !

🍦🍨However, eating comfort food when things get tough—also known as emotional eating or stress eating—is not really a solution to life's challenges. It make work temporarily. But it causes longer-term distress if it brings about weight gain.

🍦🍨Know your emotional eating triggers and Distract yourself

The best distractions from emotional eating are things that take like about five minutes—just long enough to help you switch gears.

🍦🍨Some ideas for switching gears include:

🧁going for a walk
🧁sitting outside
🧁putting on your favorite music and dancing
🧁calling a close friend to chat 💬 or have a call with your loved one .
