Risk Involved in Nightime Spikes in Blood Pressure
🩺While all of us carry out our blood pressure checks during the day, high blood pressure during sleeping go undetected.
This actually increases the level of organ failure risks and heart diseases associated with nocturnal hypertension.
A new study from the American Heart Association’s journal, Circulation, found that people who suffer from high blood pressure during their sleep at night, have a more higher risk of developing cardiovascular diseases in the future, including a high risk of stroke, coronary artery disease (CAD) and heart failure.
🩺What actually causes the spike ?
According to a lot of doctors, high blood pressures have been interlinked to the process of sodium excretion from our body, which mostly happens during the day.
However, in most cases, where individuals are taking high salt intake and are mostly sensitive to salt, the blood pressures need to rise not just during the day but also while they're sleeping.
However, this process can be extremely harmful to the heart, which is why nighttime blood pressures are associated with great risk factors.
