He was conferred the Best Doctor Award by the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai, for his exemplary contribution in the field of medical health service in the year 2012. He is also active member various national and international Pediatric Forums & Bodies and has published numerous articles in various journals and has authored in many chapters in various textbooks.

He was awarded Fellow of Indian Academy of Pediatrics (FIAP) in the year 2012, a prestigious honor conferred to the members of the IAP who has made outstanding contributions in the fields of Child Health, Pediatric Education, Research, Development of Sub-specialties, Medical Publications and Community Pediatrics over and above the call of normal duty or due to position of the nominee. He was also awarded Visiting Fellowship by the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) in the year 2011and was elected as the Fellow of College of Chest Physicians (FCCP) by the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP), USA in the same year as well.
